What We Do

Cosmic Owl Care emerged from a love of spending time outdoors;  amongst the flowers, trees, and water, and caring for community. What came to fruition was a beautiful collaboration between the land, plants, animals, and families in Minnesota.

Danielle of Cosmic Owl Care enjoys guiding children and families through experiences where they can explore the wonders of nature. She provides custom, nature-based experiences for your personal needs for both 1:1 and small groups of children.

Alongside early childhood environmental education, Danielle supports families as a nanny and a postpartum doula in training. Her gentle, calming presence eases families through new transitions and day-to-day routines. Her practice incorporates Ayurvedic teachings and botanical tools.

Family Care

Danielle is passionate about supporting families with new babies and young children. Caring for new mothers and babies includes holistic approaches such as cooking nourishing meals, brewing supportive teas and baths, light cleaning, and other gentle modalities that support the nervous system.

Danielle is currently in training as a Postpartum

Childcare Ethics

Danielle’s childcare practice follows a Regio Emilia approach, focusing on the whole child. She supports inquiry-based and child-led philosophies and highlighting  the environment as the third teacher. Danielle honors children for who they are; curious, inquiring, and growing.

She supports children in their play through an environmental lens. Children are encouraged to play, move their bodies, and find connection to the natural world.

Community Care

Danielle is a strong advocate for community care and collaboration. She approaches her herbalism practice through a folk lens and as an outlet to serve community through plants and remedies available to anyone. Medicinal plant knowledge and connection to the land is for the people and deserves to be accessible to all. She approaches each person served through non-judgmental and person-centered practices.
